In 2003, MJM's Mark Joseph was tapped by Mel Gibson to produce the Inspired By Soundtrack for his groundbreaking film, The Passion Of The Christ. Gathering together some of the top artists across genre platforms, Joseph and co-producer Tim Cook invited a select group of artists to view the film before it was released and write a song in response.

Looking for the right label to partner with, upon the recommendation of one of the artists who contributed a song, Scott Stapp of Creed, the duo reached out to Creed's label, Wind-Up, and The Passion Of The Christ: Songs was born.
